Abstract

Although breast cancer is very treatable, once the disease has become metastatic it is no longer curable. Treatment will depend on several factors, including patient goals, the type of tumor, and the menopausal status of the patient. New treatments and new ways of targeting therapy are on the horizon and will continue to influence the treatment of advanced breast cancer.
