The authors regret: 1. The following statement: ‘Six dyads were excluded⁴, leaving 158 dyads for analyses.’ The authors would like to modify this statement to state that ’10 dyads were excluded⁴, leaving 154 dyads for analyses.’ 2. Footnote #4: ‘Dyads were excluded because the instructed partner told their partner they forgot their instructions (n = 2), they knew each other (n = 3), were minors (n = 1), or the computer froze (n = 1).’ The authors would like to modify the statement to state that ‘Dyads were excluded because the instructed partner told their partner they forgot their instructions (n = 2), they knew each other (n = 3), were minors (n = 1), the computer froze (n = 1), or they failed the manipulation check by indicating that they did not follow instructions at all (n = 3).’ The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
