Abstract

In Lehman et al¹, there an error in the nomenclature regarding platelet-dependent VWF activity assays. The use of the term “VWF:Gp1bR” in the manuscript implies the use of the “HemosIL von Willebrand factor ristocetin cofactor assay”. However, to our best knowledge the actual assay was the HemosIL VWF Activity assay, and thus the correct term for platelet-dependent VWF activity in the manuscript should be “VWF:Ab” instead of “VWF:Gp1bR.”. The authors regret this error.
