Invited for this month's cover is the group of Prof. Samuel Achilefu at the Washington University School of Medicine and colleagues at the Pohang University of Science and Technology. The cover picture shows copper (the hammer) catalyzing the assembly of monomeric near-infrared fluorescent dye molecules, cypate (yellow glow), into covalently-linked dimeric molecules (merged red balls).
