Abstract
In this paper, we report the first experimental demonstration of the technique of convolution-based phase correction in Fourier transform mass spectrometry. The technique eliminates phase distortions which have previously been minimized by computation of magnitude spectra, rather than absorption-mode spectra. It is shown that expected increases in mass resolution using the new phase correction procedure are achieved.
