Abstract

Among the novel features of this system are: 1) permanent storage of entered contour data using an efficient data compression method previously described; 2) ability to use multiple analysis methods on any given set of contour data; 3) ability to derive normalized relative segmental areas for analysis of segmental ventricular motion. The system in its current configuration uses manual entry of cineangiogram frames. It can process either diastolic - systolic or sequential frame data. The author's studies indicate that this system is reproducible and provides useful quantitative information concerning regional left ventricular wall motion.
