Abstract

Unsteady parabolized Navier-Stokes (slender-shear-layer) equations are derived in a curvilinear coordinate system by neglecting the diffusion terms in the streamwise direction. These equations are suitable for calculating flow along a wing-body junction and spanwise separation; they are solved by a finite-volume, Runge-Kutta time-stepping scheme. Calculations are presented for flow over a wing. (Author abstract. )
