Abstract
The effects of bath parameters, such as dispersoid concentration, current density and surfactant concentration, on the codeposition of submicron Al2O3 with nickel from a sulphamate bath have been studied. The results show good agreement with the Gugliemi two-step adsorption model of co-deposition mechanism, the strong adsorption step is the rate determine step. The Al2O3 particles with nickel appear to be enhanced when the cathodic polarization is enhanced.
