Abstract
This article analyzes the impact that Enrique Krauze, Vuelta and Letras Libres have had in the reconfiguration of the figure of the public intellectual in Mexico, as well as their role in the formulation of liberalism from Mexico. The article traces the different configurations of intellectual practice implicit in both magazines, as well as the intellectual genealogies traced both by the different authors published by them, and by the intellectual sources of Krauze's work. The text concludes with a reflection on the impact of this intellectual line in the relationship between culture and the public intellectual in today's Mexico.
