Abstract

Chylothorax occurred in a 16-year-old girl after posterior spinal fusion and instrumentation for idiopathic scoliosis. Nonoperative management, including chest tube drainage for 26 days and total parenteral nutrition, successfully treated this unusual complication after a posterior spinal fusion.
