Chapter ObjeCtives By the end of this chapter, the reader will be able to: • Describe the strengths and challenges of childr en with learning disabilities in terms of their adaptation, coping, and resilience. • Apply an occupational adaptation and empowering lens in developing an occupational profile for childr en with learning disabilities. • Identify best and evidence-based practices in suppor ting the adaptation, coping, and resilience of children with learning disabilities using an empowering framework. • Describe how collaboration with families and an interprofessional team can strengthen interventions geared to ward supporting adaptation, coping, and resilience in childr en with learning disabilities.
