Abstract

A theoretical model based upon a set of chemical reaction equations was established. It was assumed that activated LFA-1 cannot resume in passive or low affinity state as long as it is bound to ICAM-1. The initial results of the model suggest a role of active cellular processes (inside-out signaling) in LFA-1 activation.
