An Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) solver - WIND is employed to compute the flow field resulting from active control of turbulent separation over a nominal 2D hump using a synthetic jet actuator. This flow field corresponds to case 3 of NASA Langley Research Center Workshop "CFD validation of synthetic jets and turbulent separation control" held at Williamsburg, VA in March 2004.1 In this paper, the results of detailed calculations for this case are presented along with their comparison with experimental data.
