N2 - Bis(2, 2, 2-trichloroethoxy) cobalt(II) and chloro(2, 2, 2-trichloroethoxy)cobalt(II) [Co(OCH2CCl3)2·L] and [CoCl(OCH2CCl3)·L], derivatives (L=tetrahydrofuran, dioxan, triphenylarsine oxide, or pyridine) have been synthesised and characterized. They have tetrahedral geometry both in solution and in the solid state.
