A 52-year-old white man had symmetrically arranged periorbital papules which clinically appeared identical to syringomas. The histiopathologic features were those of a superficial or plate-like proliferation of basaloid cells along the epidermis and columns of epithelial cells showing varying degrees of follicular differentiation extending into the corium. We believe the lesions represent basal cell hamartomas with follicular differentiation.
