Abstract

In the originally published version of this article, the findings of a cited reference were incorrectly reported. The description has been corrected to read “Similarly, in non-hospitalized unvaccinated older adults with mild COVID-19 symptoms, a double-blind RCT of convalescent plasma versus placebo administered within 72 hours of symptom onset reduced the progression of COVID-19 (ref. 104)” (Libster, R. et al. Early high-titer plasma therapy to prevent severe Covid-19 in older adults. N. Engl. J. Med. 384, 610–618 (2021)). The error has been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
