Atypical Kawasaki disease with aortic aneurysm

This case demonstrates that Kawasaki disease does not always manifest itself in the typical fashion and that the potential, life-threatening cardiovascular complications include aortic aneurysm. The patient with Kawasaki disease needs prolonged follow-up and serial laboratory evaluation for coronary, aortic, and peripheral arterial aneurysms.
