Abstract
We report the first results on measurements of electromagnetic wave attenuation of onion-like carbon (OLC) powders and OLC-based polymer films on a substrate. The measurements cover a wide frequency range 2-38 GHz and demonstrate promising high potential of OLC-based composites as basic components for wideband electromagnetic wave absorbing materials. A description of the measurement technique is presented. Possibility and mechanisms of the absorption efficiency tuning are discussed.
