Abstract

3D printing has numerous applications in the abdomen and pelvis; the literature has expanded greatly since the first edition of this book. These applications span anatomic models, simulation and guides, patient counseling, medical education, and early work in bioprinting. The purpose of this chapter is to survey the literature of 3D printing in the abdomen and pelvis and provide some generalizations and examples of its high clinical utility.
