Abstract

Presents daytime atmospheric optical data collected chiefly with airborne instruments during a field expedition to northern Europe in the winter of 1978. Results from 26 flights are presented. The data include the natural irradiance upon horizontal plane surfaces, total volume scattering coefficients, and derived values of atmospheric beam tranmittance and equivalent attenuation length. Selected meterological properties, measured concurrently with the radiometric data are also included. -from STAR, 18(15), 1980
