Abstract
The xenon-xenon neutron induction method of dating was used in the systematic isotope dating of quartz-calcite-nasturan (kku) veins in one of the largest uranium deposits in Europe. The age of the nasturan collected from the kku veins in various positions varies from 120 to 300 million years. These results indicate that the formation of the nasturan in the kku veins in the Schlema-Alberoda deposit was a long process in which it is possible to recognize several impulses of different ages. A spatial regularity was revealed in the distribution of the xenon-xenon ages: relatively old ore centres are encircled by concentric zones in which the nasturan has younger Xes-Xen ages. -P.Cooke
