Abstract
Noninvasive advanced imaging of vascular thoracic outlet syndrome is best performed with computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Both modalities allow for dynamic imaging of the thoracic outlet and can demonstrate narrowing of the arteries or veins that is induced by positional changes. This chapter focuses on the technical aspects of CT and MR imaging of the thoracic outlet, with particular attention paid to the advantages and limitations of these techniques. In addition, case examples of both arterial and venous thoracic outlet syndrome diagnosed with CT or MRI are provided.
