Abstract
Vascular injury frequently accompanies major abdominal trauma, presenting unique challenges to the surgeon. This chapter describes an approach to anticipating and recognizing abdominal vascular trauma, facilitating rapid diagnostic evaluation, and controlling and expeditiously repairing the most commonly encountered injuries.
