    Abstract

    Male graduate students of departments of Educational Administration and Professional Schools are members of an elite group who significantly comprise and control tbe leadership positions in the United States. Their attitudes toward women will affect the future role of women in professional positions in society. This study tested male attitudes towards women as an indicator of future behavior In the hiring process. Attitudes and overt behavior were found to be related. Until such time as the male students came into direct competition with females for employment, their attitudes towards females were favourable.
