My laboratory research includes strategies to improve axonal regeneration in both a peripheral nerve and spinal cord injury model and the development of innovative technology targeting peripheral nerve/neuroprosthetic interfaces. My laboratory is designed to employ an interdisciplinary approach to engineer novel technological platforms, medical devices, and clinical therapies with significant potential for clinical translation. My primary long-term clinical interest is to improve both sensory and motor function in patients with peripheral nerve and spinal cord injuries.
