The Grither lab is interested in understanding tumor-microenvironment interactions and metastasis with a focus in ovarian cancer models. This research works to better understand the unique cell-cell interactions and signaling pathways present in the ovarian tumor-microenvironment in an effort to tackle the fundamental challenges in tumor biology including dysregulated signaling, metastasis, treatment resistance, and recurrence. We utilize a multimodal approach to study, integrating data derived from basic cell culture systems, mouse models, ex vivo microfluidics systems, and patient derived samples.
