My interests include clinical activities and research in obstetric anesthesia, regional and ambulatory anesthesia.I help establish goals and curricula for medical students and residents. Participate in daily lectures and clinical teaching in obstetric anesthesia. I developed an inexpensive home made model, constructed from materials found in every anaesthetic room at Chelsea and West Minster Hospital London(2004).Trainees found the home made model a useful substitute for practice of percutaneous technique and found practising on such model useful. This model is being used as a teaching tool in the UK. I also designed and constructed a novel epidural model for training novice anesthesiology residents to practice epidural and CSE techniques before performing on the patients at Washington University School of Medicine, St.Louis, USA,Jan 2005.This model is cheap unlike commercial models,is not biodegradable unlike fruit or vegetable models and judged realistic by anaesthesiology trainees. My special interest is high risk obstetric anesthesia and fetal therapy.I am instructor and coordinator for obstetric team work simulation at the simulation center,Washington University School of Medicine,St. Louis. CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS 1.Obstructive sleep apnea in pregnancy 2. Epidural anesthesia test doses.3. Obesity and SISS 4. The Team Work Simulation – OB Anesthesia
