I am the pediatric radiation oncologist for Siteman Cancer Center and my research involves the treatment of childhood malignancies, as well as the late effects of therapy. My lab focuses on the neurocognitive outcomes of pediatric brain tumor patients. This research includes an ongoing prospective analysis of resting-state functional connectivity MRI (RSFC MRI) as a potential biomarker for cognitive outcome.
I am a board-certified radiation oncologist with a special focus on pediatric oncology and neuro-oncology. I hold the S. Lee Kling Chair in Radiation Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. I serve as the director of the S. Lee Kling Proton Therapy Center and chief of the Pediatric Radiotherapy Service. My clinical interests include proton therapy, pediatric brain tumors, stereotactic radiosurgery, pediatric cancer-focused radiopharmaceuticals, and the management of brain arteriovenous malformations.
