Research interests

My group is interested in understanding how age-related changes in the stromal compartment impact tumorigenesis. To study this we utilize basic cell culture systems and have created a conditional mouse in which we can induce old fibroblasts in young animals and determine how this impacts tumor rates in the skin and breast. Ultimately we intend to use this mouse model to determine the mechanism by which old stromal cells promote tumorigenesis.
