Research interests

Regulation of adaptive and innate immunity by actin-binding proteins, currently focusing on the role of the bundling protein L-plastin. Mice deficient for L-plastin exhibit defects in T and B cell chemotaxis and activation due to failures of cellular polarization and maintenance of cell contacts. I am also developing a research interested into pulmonary immunity and the immune response in pneumococcal pneumonia.
