Saif M. Badran, MD, PhD, MRCS, ABHS(Plast) , FRCS (Plast), Assistant Professor at the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and holds a concurrent position as an adjunct Assistant Professor within the Division of Surgical Sciences (DDS), in the Section of Regenerative Science. His extensive academic background includes a Ph.D. degree. Dr. Badran's doctoral research focused on investigating the metabolic changes that occur following surgical subcutaneous fat removal in body contouring surgeries, aiming to address the physical manifestations of obesity. Building on this foundation, he intends to further his involvement in clinical and translational research by exploring the relationship between insulin resistance and adipocyte inflammation at different subcutaneous fat depots. 

Dr. Badran specializes in breast reconstruction and cosmetic surgeries including body contouring, abdominoplasty, breast augmentations, breast reductions, liposuction, and gynecomastia. He also treats patients needing reconstructive surgery following trauma and oncologic procedures, as well as those with lymphedema, requiring limb salvage surgeries, or dealing with diabetic foot wounds.
