Personal profile
Research interests
My primary research focus is the auditory perception of both speech and non-speech by people with normal and with impaired hearing. One ultimate goal of my laboratory is to improve auditory perception and speech communication for people with hearing impairment, especially for those who use cochlear implants. Other goals include a better understanding of plasticity in auditory neural pathways and of pitch-perception mechanisms in both hearing and hearing-impaired listeners.
