Dr. Kendall’s research focuses on the role of B lymphocytes in autoimmune disease. Specific research interests include determining how B cell signaling mediated by Bruton’s tyrosine kinase contributes to autoimmune disease, including inflammatory arthritis and type 1 diabetes, as well as the relationship with the inflammatory microbiome. Dr. Kendall is also investigating the role of immune cells as biomarkers and therapeutic targets of lung disease in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and systemic sclerosis with and without interstitial lung disease.
