My research applies clinical informatics, machine learning, and registry-scale data to pediatric critical care—focused on pARDS, ECMO outcomes and neurologic complications. I develop and validate predictive models and risk stratification tools using ELSO database studies and multicenter cohorts, and contribute to data-sharing and harmonization methods in critical care.
Pediatric critical care, clinical informatics, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), acute kidney injury (AKI).
I mentor trainees interested in pediatric critical care outcomes research and clinical informatics/ML. Typical projects include ELSO registry studies, predictive modeling, and ICU quality/operations analytics.
Education interests include respiratory physiology and seminal clinical trials, ventilator management on ECMO, and applied statistics for clinicians. I provide annual didactics for pediatric critical care fellows (respiratory mechanics; PARDS ancillary therapies; ECMO ventilator management, ventilator as a physiology lab sessions) and contributed to development of the fellowship respiratory curriculum.
