    Dr. Ushe’s research interests include: 1) determining the mechanisms by which deep brain stimulation for movement disorders improves the motor manifestations of PD, ET and dystonia. 2) determining how deep brain stimulation parameters can be adjusted to improve the motor manifestation of PD. 3) the development of objective measurement tools for movement disorders and 4) evaluation of dementia in movement disorders.

    Movement disorders including idiopathic Parkinson's disease, multiple systems atrophy, dystonia, essential tremor as well as the spinocerebellar ataxias and Huntington's disease
