Dr. Hartman is interested in health services research which seeks to improve the health of both individuals and populations by understanding the problems and alternatives in the design and delivery of health care services.  She is specifically interested in issues that affect children with critical illness or injuries, such as status asthmaticus and traumatic brain injury.
