Dr. John Chi is an Assistant Professor of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. His research interests include facial reconstruction, facial paralysis, and quality of life following facial plastic surgery. Prior to medicine, Dr. Chi served as a science teacher in an under-served community in New York City. He earned his master’s degree in education from the City College of New York. Dr. Chi’s humanitarian work has taken him to China, Ecuador and Guatemala to care for medically under-served cleft lip and palate patients.
