I am interested in clinical and translational research of GI cancers. Ongoing projects include the use of biomarkers (specifically DNA methylation) in predicting: 1) progression of Barrett's esophagus (a premalignant condition) to esophageal cancer; 2) response to treatment in patients with Barrett's esophagus. In addition, I am interested in epidemiological studies and health services research in GI neoplasms.
