Our group is studying the balance of oxidants and anti-oxidants within the human eye as it relates to the development of nuclear cataract and glaucoma. We are measuring levels of oxygen in vivo within the anterior segment prior to intraocular surgery as well as collecting aqueous humor specimens for analysis of anti-oxidant potential, levels of specific anti-oxidants and associated metabolic products, as well as metabolomics.
Diagnostic and therapeutic assessment of glaucoma, including pharmacological, surgical, and laser treatment and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures
