Research interests
We use in vivo stable isotope labeled tracer methods in combination with tissue biopsy and imaging techniques to evaluate substrate metabolism at the whole-body and tissue level. Areas of interest include sexual dimorphism in lipid and protein metabolism, mechanisms of muscle wasting in aging. the effects of diet and physical activity on muscle protein and fatty acid and lipoprotein metabolism.
