While I clinically see patients across all areas of allergy and immunology, my research is based in asthma and allergy. I am the Medical Director of the Healthy Kids Express Asthma Van Program, which provides specialty asthma care to children attending schools with a high percentage of asthmatics in neighborhoods of need in the Saint Louis area. We are doing many quality improvement initiatives on the data we routinely collect during visits including a review of the program, obesity in asthma, and specific areas of improvement (eg, who is responsible for giving medications and are children accurate reports on the ACT).

I am also the physician who leads the antibiotic allergy testing clinic at SLCH, and am now doing a review of all patients undergoing antibiotic allergy testing since 2010 to determine the true incidence of penicillin allergy in children and to determine if is possible to eliminate antibiotic skin testing and do solely dose challenges to safely clear children of reported drug allergy.
